Gangsta Gang Vocals

Big thanks to Mr. Clark Bush for helping us track the first Tard gang vocal last night.
Shout out to all of the following folks for lending their wicked shouting skills for the new record:
Forbes Gary, Will Gary, Shawn Williamson, Lacey Hortman, and Alex Donahue.

Paul Simon sang it best:
If you’ll be my bodyguard
I can be your long lost pal
I can call you Betty
And Betty when you call me
You can call me Al

Al wants you to know that Gangsta Tard vocals may be more gangsta than the O.G himself.

In other news, mixing is coming along swimmingly and we have a few more shows coming up with even more TBA very soon…

Tonight @ the CCT in Macon, Ga.

We will be sharing the stage with Citizen Insane and Jubee and the Morning After this evening for the first Bragg Jam presents… show.

It’s an all ages show.
5 bucks at the door and all profits from the door go towards making Bragg Jam bigger and better this year.
Here’s the website for one of the coolest venues in Macon:

The weather outside is frightful

But we’re soo delightful. Or not.
In any event, we have finished tracking over ten tracks and have entered the mixing and mastering phase with Glow in the Dark Studios in Atlanta. Michael Collins from Back City Woods has helped us fix the the website and we’re off the ground.

Look for us in the next Out and About regarding our upcoming show at the Mellow Mushroom.

Now let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Recording

Tonight is our last practice before recording up at Star Motel Records this weekend.  We have 4  new tracks that we are hoping to get done – a bit ambitious for sure.  Think happy thoughts!

Aside from a surprise acoustic performance at the Rookery for Sunday’s open mic night – we haven’t played out very much locally lately.  We will hopefully be playing in December at the Golden Bough (and possibly other venues) with New Years eve still up in the air.

Most of our energies have been directed at writing and recording these last few months, hopefully 2011 will see us playing out a lot more!

This blogging thing is pretty tough – hopefully I will get better at it as time goes by.

Peace!

Mag Tard

Well here it is … mostly.  Still a work in progress (kinda like the band) we now have our own website with some stuff on it.  Also, we have a facebook page and a myspace page because we are just that cool.

There will be more soon.  This is a good first step – ya think?
